I am interested in procuring a SeaTech Halimede-class Destroyer from the Anticans. But seeing as currency trades are not currently viable I would be prepared to pay North Korean style, that is to say to the equivalent in points + plus 10% commission in weapon systems from my own product range.

Perhaps a fixer with established Antican contacts could arrange this for me?

Quote:
Halimede-class Destroyer
1250 points
Manufacturer: SeaTech
Length: 185 meters (607 ft)
Beam: 24.6 meters (80.7 ft)
Displacement: 15,000 metric tonnes (14,800 long tons)
Aircraft Capacity: 3 (VTOL only)
Armament:
: 2 155mm Guns
: 2 57mm rapid-fire Guns (CIWS)
: 20 PVLS Modules (4 missiles per module)

Mission's PLVS mixture:
: 4 Trident SSubM Modules (= RUM-139 VL-ASROC)
: 4 Javelin SSM Modules (= RGM-84 Harpoon)
: 12 Longbow SAM Modules - 4 longbows per module (= RIM-162 ESSM)

I hope this comment would not be misinterpreted as semi-trolling, but I feel that the pursuit of such relations would be a worthy goal. I'll speak to Herr Moshe about perhaps organising some kind of summit, and perhaps giving the Anticans a joint commercial institute in Kolmenitzky.

I've registered on Nafticon - ...and I suggest that, in light of our growing commercial involvement with them, His Excellency the Noshi strongly recommend that all other members of our republic do so in a Ruzhin palace post.

Herr Mavet,

I am the owner of Antica-based VasCo and would be interested in providing you this warship. I am in the process of hiring a consultant who possibly might assist me in the procurement and sales of the warship.

Regards,

Mateu Vasroe
Owner, VasCo
(Also Treasury Minister of Antica)

The SeaTech Division of the Bellini Group would be glad to provide Ashkenatza with the warship design that it seeks. The warship mentioned at the beginning of this thread is a SeaTech ship.

Herr Mavet,

We have now examined some data provided to us by our paid consultant appertaining to you offer. As a result of this examination of the facts, we have decided to pursue your offer and at the terms you have stated: the equivalent in points + plus 10% commission in weapon systems from your product line. However we might as well mention that since another part of our business is currency exchange, we would also accept a combination of points, 10% commission, and shekels.

We eagerly await your reply.

Sincerely,

Mateu Vasroe
CEO of VasCo

Why dont, we have a new subforum for foriegn embasys? Heads of contries can apply for one, and if we like them we can build them one in exchange for our own in their country?

That's a pretty nifty idea, Alex, and I'm not sure why we didn't think of it sooner! Naturally, we couldn't make embassies for all the nations we have good relations with - why don't we just make some kind of legal facility whereby the Knesset can vote for an embassy in the foreign affairs section for a country if they are sufficently well represented and magnanimous?

Foreign Embassies never work. What usually happens is that every nation you have relations with eventually decides they'd like to open up an embassy too, then never use it. Even our closest allies, Babkha and Antica, don't post enough here to merit an embassy, nor we on their forums.
It doesn't show unkindness towards a nation not to have an embassy, it's just that it always ends up with loads of empty Embassy boards from n00b nations you never hear from again after you sign a non-aggression treaty.
